Is your community group, after-school program/club, or day-care center interested in arranging a visit to the Crissy Field Center to explore and learn more about your local environment and its fascinating natural history? How about having a National Park Service Ranger visit your program? Camping at the Presidio

CAP provides opportunities for local youth that traditionally have not visited their national parks the benefits of a camping experience by providing an economical, supportive and accessible system for teachers and leaders to bring their youth camping in their local national park.

2009 Community Hero Award

Do you know someone who has worked tirelessly to improve their environment?  Has the individual or group inspired others to take action and improved the quality of life for their community?  If yes, nominate them to be the next Community Hero.  Recipients have their work showcased in a year-long exhibit at the Crissy Field Center and are recognized at the annual Community Heroes Award Ceremony in May. Nominations are due December 1st so don’t delay.
