The Crissy Field Center is the multimedia hub for the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Our media lab allows visitors of all ages and park staff to interact with urban ecology in new ways and express what the environment means to them through digital photography, video production, and GIS technology. This section is devoted to videos, animations, games, and media treats produced for and by Crissy Field Center participants.

Do you know someone who has worked tirelessly to improve their environment?  Has the individual or group inspired others to take action and improved the quality of life for their community?  If yes, nominate them to be the next Community Hero.  Recipients have their work showcased in a year-long exhibit at the Crissy Field Center and are recognized at the annual Community Heroes Award Ceremony in May. Nominations are due December 1st so don’t delay.

Learn About Your Local Community Heroes
Every year the Crissy Field Center celebrates San Francisco Bay environmental heroes. Groups and individuals are eligible for nominations. Community Heroes Award Ceremon event is open to the public and presents an amazing opportunity to learn more about issues and solutions to local environmental problems. Their stories are featured on our website and displayed in a year-long exhibit at the Crissy Field Center.

Crissy Field Center program participants create amazing animations, digital stories, documentaries, and presentations. Over the years, we have collected their creations and through the magic of modern technology, we can stream them to you via the web.
